Our Teaching Philosophy

We believe that every child can learn and they all learn in their own unique ways. We do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach and we truly strive to find what works best for each student. We understand the power of positive reinforcement and celebrating every victory --even the little ones. We value forming authentic relationships with students and work to build their trust so that they feel comfortable taking academic risks and being okay with getting things wrong sometimes, because that's how the brain grows.

At Hope Academy, we tailor lessons specifically to each child and carefully plan each lesson to build on the next, with support, until the child shows mastery. We believe in a multi-sensory approach where children are actively involved in the lesson materials visually, kinesthetically, and orally. We believe that the best way to learn is through playing and making learning a fun experience.
